Los Angeles, CA-ViaScope USA announced today that the City of Los Angeles Information Technology Agency has purchased the ViaScope IPScan Security Solution. The Solution includes IPScan V3.5 Software and seven (7) IPScan Probes, to be deployed in critical internal City locations. The Solution provides secure access control of each network and automatic monitoring 24x7 for any security breaches. Plans are to expand IPScan to an additional forty-five (45) locations within two years. According to the City of Los Angeles Director of ITA, IPScan is the best available tool for access control of the City Layer 2 network. In addition, the City expects to save a tremendous amount of IT manpower, because of IPScan ability to automatically block any rogue devices on a 24x7 basis. Before IPScan, any security breach required a physical visit to each remote location and a manual elimination of a rogue device, one at a time. But now, with IPScan, all rogue devices are deleted with just a click of a mouse from the LA Central Data Center.
